CPAC was originally started in 2008 by the Steven's Anime Club as a casual idea. After holding a few events, the Anime Club began to realize that the possibility of holding a successful convention was nothing short of a reality. The inaugural convention attracted a crowd of 600 people, which was more than anyone in the organization had expected. Fast forward 5 years later, and CPAC has vastly grown and is now attended by over 2000 attendees. Geek-specific stand-up comedian Uncle Yo has become a mainstay attraction of the Anime Convention. The convention also features a dance showcasing outside DJ talent, as well as a Anime Artist Alley which spotlights some of the more talented creators in the business. One of the more unique convention activities featured a human cosplay chess game!
As with any anime convention, cosplay is always welcomed and encouraged. It wouldn't be an anime convention without Cosplayers. Below I've spotlighted a few of the standout costumes from the event.
