YES ANIME
Specializing in Domestic and Imported anime, Yes Anime, Inc. is the largest distributor of Japanese toys in the San Francisco Bay area. They specialize in a wide variety of designer toys, apparel, accessories, and snacks and bevarages among many other licensed goods. Their most sought after collector item, the Super Alloy Batman 1/6 scale 12 inch figure by Jim Lee, was received with great enthusiasm at New York Comic Con last year. The super alloy figure, designed by Jim Lee himself, is made of die cast metal and contains over 50 points of articulation. Even Batman's fingers bend at the knuckles like a real hand! The figure has a gun metal finish, and looks very attractive at first site. One of the best features of the figure is it's poseable cape, which can be shaped into any formation, and locks onto batman's shoulders using magnets. The figure is quite impressive, and stands upon a lion-gargoyle type base.
I have to be honest and say that the photos I took at Toy Fair don't do this Batman toy justice. Itt was hard to capture in the bright lighting. For more extensive photographs of this toy and further info, visit Yes Anime Inc's website. The figure is available in limited quality and wholesales for a price of $275 each. If Yes Anime can secure a license, they are hoping to release an Iron Man version in the future.
It was only a matter of time before someone decided to make designer toys based on the Happy Tree Friends series. Yes Anime, Inc. distributes an entire series based on the misadventures of these cute creatures. The figures are sold blindly, which means you can't tell which figurine you are buying until you get home and open the box. For those of you who have never heard of the Happy Tree Friends, I hope this video clip will explain all.
Other blind designer toy figurines distributed by Yes Anime, Inc. include Spongebob and Paul Frank licensed figurines.
