The slideshow below contains photographs I took at AnimeNEXT 2012. It's the largest independent Anime show of it's kind. While AnimeNext may have a dealer room, performances, and panels, just like other conventions of it's kind, it's real draw is the vast amount of cosplayers who attend. It's a great event for Cosplayers to meet and network, and for cosplay photographers alike.

The Ruins of Justice: Eastern State Penitentiary
For nearly 142 years, Philadelphia's Eastern State Penitentiary served as a model institution for criminal rehabilitation and reform. Dating back to 1829, such famous criminals as Al Capone and bank robber Willie Sutton saw themselves incarcerated within the prison's walls. In 1971, the prison closed it's doors and the castle-like structure was left to decay. In 1994 Eastern State Penitentiary was opened to the public as a museum.

Quick Update
It's been a few months since my previous blog post, but you can rest assured that it was not my final blog. With my recent website update, I decided to post links to all of the photos sets I've posted to Flickr since my New York Comic Con blog. This should hopefully bring everyone up to speed.
Steampunk Fashions @ the DUMBO Steampunk Festival
Held in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn, this yearly festival pays tribute to the many aspects of Steampunk culture. While the show itself was a bit downplayed from previous years, the fashion show, featuring designs from 4 different designers, impressed all in attendance.
